WIP: MG Strike Freedom

After 3 years of hiatus I'm back in the Gunpla world. My first project for this year will be the MG Strike Freedom.

Progress so far:

Sharpened the arm protector

Made edges on the shoulder armor (I also cut a portion of the shoulder armor to reveal internal)

I can't recall how many hours I spent just sanding, I hope I get better at it :)

Small update:

Applied putty on the edges of the front leg armor, I will sand this down to make it flat and sharp.

Applied putty on the shoulder armor to make a straight line

While waiting for the putty to cure, I scribed some panel line on the front skirt.

Mini Update: July 25, 2010
2:25 am

Woke up early today to buy a new workbench from Ace Hardware, had to scour three malls but the size I wanted was out of stock. I can't wait anymore as I wanted to organized my modeling stuff so I can concentrate on building my strike freedom. I bought the bigger table instead. Here's my new work bench:

I still lack a mini cabinet as you can see, my stuff are cluttered lol!

Back to Gunpla!

Scribed panel lines on torso armor because it looks bare

Image

The puttied shoulder armor was an epic fail so I put pla-plate instead

Image

Sharpened the corners of the knee armor, then made the hole for vents rectangular (will put MSG vernier and replace the original SF knee vent)

Image

Sharpened the corners of the thigh armor and installed MSG detail

That's it for now, hope to get more done later!
