I just bought a MG Exia Ignition Mode and I will show you how I snap built my kits.
Tools:
Sprue Cutter
Used for Cutting Parts of a runner. I suggest you get a sharp sprue cutter as this will help you to be more precise and close in cutting the parts.
Hobby KnifeFor getting rid of nubs or excess plastic from sprues
Cutting Mat
Not really a necessity in snap building but It's always good to have one, specially if you are planning to mod in the future.
There, that's all the tools you need for snap building.
The Process:
Snap building is fairly easy, you just follow the instruction manual for you kit. The difficulty differs from various grades of Gunpla (First Grade, No Grade/High Grade, Master Grade, and Perfect Grade)
In order to cut as cleanly as possible you must cut the part to nearest to the runner or tree. Then cut the remaining nub, if a nub is persistent use you hobby knife, cut the nub slowly and gently.
Continue doing this until you finish the kit.
